Why wired monitoring matters
Live guitar practice depends on a short, stable path from string to ear. Bluetooth adds codec buffering and scheduling delay outside the application’s control. A USB interface and wired headphones keep the monitored path measurable and make calibration meaningful.

Raw onset time describes what the capture observed. Compensated time accounts for measured setup latency. Early, late, missed, and low-confidence events are different failure modes and should route to different practice decisions.
